As stated below, I've had some time on my hands this morning. Here's what I've been internetting:
MMA fans/participants are suing the state of NY to legalize public, for profit MMA fights. Their claim is that by banning public "combative sports", but not the activities themselves (you can still ground and pound the shit out of somebody in a gym) the state is impinging on their first amendment right to free speech. I know it sounds like nonsense, but they may actually have a case. slate article
While were on the topic of MMA, heres is a summersault kick: A site with the video , and here is somebody jump-kicking off the side of the cage: Anthony Pettis' superkick
I feel like hulu and the TV networks have been letting me down recently. Community is on an indefinite hiatus, which is awful. I guess nobody was watching it, which kind of blows my mind, because its everything I want in a sitcom. The other comedy to which I have pledged my heart is Archer, and it is also on some sort of inexplicable break. I'm not sure what happened to Justified either, it seems like it should be back on by now. I've become mildly obsessed with The Sing Off, an a capella singing competition show. Here's Pentatonix covering Let's Get It On . Im watching some of the new sitcoms, but I'm not too happy with any of them. Whitney and The New Girl both have moments of brilliance, but for the most part they're a little too formulaic and predictable.
